One of our bunny people needs you!

I got this from one of our volunteers who is headed back to LA in September.  We need her!  The bunnies need her!

She's looking for a position in TV or video production.  Her resume is great and as volunteer coordinator, I can recommend her highly.

...it sounds like you have lots of new volunteers and lots of fuzz butts getting forever homes which is awesome! So I wanted to let you know that I am doing my best to return to L.A. in September, but I will be doing so without a job, which of course is a little scary. If you don't mind keeping your ears open for me about any jobs in television or video production, I would be very grateful.

Can't wait to see some buns again!

~Allie Schnapp

Contact her directly for her resume, etc.  If you have contacts in 'the biz' out there, plz forward this!

Thanks to all our wonderful peeps out there who help when we need it!

We love you.

Can you help little Geiger?

Our furkid, Geiger, has returned to Rabbit Match.  His human was couldn't keep him.  : (

Please ask friends and family if they can give little munchkin, Geiger, a foster or furever home.  He sure deserves one.

July update for  me, Geiger.  I weighed in at 5 lbs 10 oz.  I'm 9 months old now so that should be it for my growth.  Did you notice my eyes are the color of sweet dark honey??  Everyone notices the softess of my coat.   I'm as personable as ever, ready to do ankle nudges and rattle my crocks when I want room service!!  Let's cuddle!!! Love, your Geiger.

Please let me know asap!

Geiger's got his paws crossed!

Perfect noms for a wabbit....

diet - mommy loves gouda! ♥

..as in what gouda eats, not trying to lose weight.

here, gouda demonstrates the base of the rabbit pyramid diet: fresh veggies and hay. contrary to popular belief, rabbits should NOT live on pellets alone. pellets are great for getting all the different minerals and vitamins rabbits need, but comparatively high in calories. gouda is considered a small rabbit at 3.5 pounds, so he only gets 2 tablespoons of pellets a day. for the rest of his calories, he forages on 3 cups of fresh veggies hidden around my place and unlimited hay. every rabbit is different, so talk to your doctor to find a perfect diet for your bun.

The story of Sedona...Adopted!!!

Sedona went home today with a boy bun named Echo and his human, Christine.  We are sooooo happy!!

Thought you'd like to see Sedona's story written and directed by Lisa E.  ; )  (oh, you've gotta read from the bottom up)

Hello all, it is my birthday of sorts.  I am two months old today.  No more squeezing through x-pen spaces, I've grown!!!  Mom couldn't find the scale today, so I can't tell you quite how much but I'm leaving babyhood.  Also, I'm not feeling any strange stirrings yet, but a little firehose does not seem to be a part of my anatomy so I'm a GIRL!!!  Hopefully there will not be a further revision on that item!!!

I'm still the fastest bun around.  Those skills you learn as a little tyke stay with you.  Muscle memory, you know??

I still groove on cuddles and pets.  Can't wait for next month when I'll be old enough for greens!!  Your sweet Bumble Bee #2, Sedona.

Hello!!  I'm Sedona, just barely old enough to be away from my rabbit mom. Well, I relly don't know how it hapened.  Suddenly the others were gone!! Actually we had been  living under a freeway bridge.  There was a ramp and as usual, there was a human standing there and some people would roll down car windows and hand something over.  Could it be *nom*nom*? I asked myself.

Being an intrepid bun I hopped over with maximum speed and tapped the human on his shoe.  Well, to my amazement, a huge hand grabbed me. Now I was being offered to the people driving by in cars!!  Oh, no!!!

So a lady gave him $5 and he handed me over. I was rolled into a towel and I prepared to do the dead bunny act squinting one eye, seeking an escape.  But what good fortune!!  The lady took me to RabbitMatch!!!  I now have my own comfy condo with stuffed animal pals and lots of the very best best hay!!  I can see other rabbits too and I get cuddled for hours at a time.

I'm not sure whether I am a baby boy or girl so I chose the name, Sedona. Fits me nicely, don't you think???  I sport a liddle coat of adorable agouti earth tone colors.  I have an absolutely angelic face but I already fooled mom and slipped out of the x-pen for an extended romp so for the time being it's just cuddles for me, aw heck!!

I weighed 6.5 oz. 34/24/09 and my birthdate is 3/24/09.  I'm worried about my rabbit mom and the other kids though.  Do look for them at freeway exit ramps, please??  Bunnycuddles from your Sedona.

Don't forget to keep your rabbits cool during heat waves!!!

We all know buns can overheat and die.

Here are some good articles sent out by Amy Spintman at SDHRS.

Let's all stay cool out there!

Plz give these kids a temporary home!

hi everyone.

we need a temp home for Dazzle at Zooh Corner while her foster mom and dad go on vacation.  If you can, contact Alex right away!

Alexandra Logsdon:  alex@mybunny.org

we also need a temp home for 2 buns from our LA East Valley shelter who are headed to a new home in New Hampshire via the Bunderground Railroad!  ; )

Hi Rebecca, Do you happen to know anyone in LA who can foster the 2 buns until we can figure out transport?  Thanks, Janet   The buns are due to be euthanized since they have had them there too long at that shelter. They are only 8 months old. :(:(:(

Anyone out there have any room to spare for these furkids let me (or anyone below!) know asap!   I'm out tomorrow (tues) with my hubs for our 25th anniversary but time is of the essence...

Updates on Our Adopted Fuzzbutts Galore!

Menander Update from Lisa!
...Mennie is doing great.  perfect box habits.  follows Cyndy around, kisses her feet and any other reachable body part, soaks up pets, .  Behaves much like her Freddie did. (another victim of the Grim Reaper at age 8)    She is totally in love w him.

Ashford/Humbert/Ayashe Update from Dr D:
Well, the little boy had great first night. He seemed very excited about his house and has been hopping up and down the ramp, eating, and relaxing.  He had a little bit of soft stool this morning on top of his regular pellets....I am assuming just from all of the stress and excitement from yesterday.  I did hold off on giving him veggies until tonight just to not disrupt anything else.
I will trim his teeth tonight or tomorrow.

Thanks again. He is fantastic, and of course my daughter is in love already.

I'll send pics soon.

Doc;=)

Nancy H heard about Edgemont from...
...the teacher who's preschool class found him running free in a park.  They brought him to RM but she ended up adopting Edgemont because her kids couldn't forget him.  : )   He's doing great.  He's now named Roger Rabbit...   He has distinct preferences on veggies.  The kids love him.  Nancy will be going in for a class talk about rabbits within the next week or so. She's promised to take pics!

Yay!  : )
