Hello!!!  Its been a long time and I am finally interested in getting another rabbit...my mother fell in love with Goliath and seems she wont give him back, lol....sooooo therefor I am looking for your help in replacing him with a new bunny....I am looking for a large bunny, that loves to play, litterbox trainined, and doesnt mind so much being picked up for petting on the lap...Goliath is a hoot and I think he was a dog in his previous life, he would beg, knock over the trash (daily) and follow (under heel), plus was very aggressive in wanting affection, lol....if you have a bunny that comes close I would love to come meet him/her asap....

thanks

I can write on Toast. How about you?

A fantastic concept for a toaster by Sasha Tseng. Write a note to your love one, friends, or other… put the toast into the machine and viola, the result is crispy bread with a message printed on it. I’d love to have one of these for my poetic explorations on food.

I would like to sell you some hunger insurance. Are you insured against hunger? Perhaps you should be! Without this coverage, you may find it impossible to continue to afford feeding yourself and your family. With this coverage, not only will you be assured of continuing to get at least some food, but so will I. In fact, thanks to this plan, I will get to eat very, very well indeed.

The bunnies can win $5,600 with a photo!!!

Hi you bunny humans!

IMOM has a calendar photo every year.  The winner gets 25% of the proceeds.  Last year that was about $5,600.  Anyone with a camera (mine just broke dang it) take pictures of your kids or our buns at the annex.  It's great publicity too.  Rules are here:

Trippy emotion diagram...

Robert Plutchik also created a wheel of emotions. This wheel is used to illustrate different emotions compelling and nuanced. Plutchik first proposed his cone-shaped model (3D) or the wheel model (2D) in 1958 to describe how emotions were related.

He suggested 8 primary bipolar emotions: joy versus sadness; anger versus fear; acceptance versus disgust; and surprise versus anticipation. Additionally, his circumplex model makes connections between the idea of an emotion circle and a color wheel. Like colors, primary emotions can be expressed at different intensities and can mix with one another to form different emotions. The circumplex model that we use on our website is actually seen as a cross-section of a three-dimensional cone shaped model of emotions.

Dear all,

If you care about homeless animals, this is the time to be heard.

Animal rescues have a friend.  We use RescueGroups.org (at NO cost!) to upload our adoptable homeless fuzzies to 15 sites at once.  This saves rescues Countless Hours of input time and means our furkids get that much more exposure to find their perfect home...But the biggest one, Petfinder, has decided to pull the plug on this valuable resource.  RescueGroups.org is a non-profit volunteer-driven website.  They do this for the love of animals.

This decision to exclude RescueGroups.org from uploading FOR US and OUR ANIMALS is downright weird.  Please drop a note to Petfinder and ask them to reinstate this vital service to the rescue community.  We Really Need Your Help.

Email Petfinder: pets@petfinder.com  or contact them directly:  Oh, and please forward and crosspost.

From RescueGroups.org announcement:

Sadly, Petfinder has insisted that we stop updating pets using their web site. Effective 11 AM Eastern on Friday September 11th, we are no longer updating pets on the Petfinder web site on your behalf for those accounts. We apologize for not giving you more notice concerning this issue, but it is out of our control. This does not affect all of our Petfinder uploads, so please review your exports page for your latest account status.

It's interesting to note that Petfinder currently supports data uploads from various shelter software and even individual organizations, but not from any of the RescueGroups.org services. We've talked to numerous organizations that currently upload data on their own with Petfinder's auto-upload.

It's also important to realize that RescueGroups.org (an unaffiliated, volunteer driven 501(c)(3) organization) does NOT place any advertisements in your pet data, and does NOT charge for pet data.

Please take two minutes to ask Petfinder to reverse this nonsensical decision and reinstate RescueGroups.org.  For us and the animals we help.

Sincerely,

The Bunnies

Bodie and Emily find true...something.

From Bodie's new human, Margaret.  Life in BunnyLand is good.

So this isn't perfect, no snuggling yet, but a lot of progress has been made.  Boadacea likes to climb, so you see her sitting on a shelf and also on her purple box lid.  Emily likes to stay grounded and is very attached to the towel.

Hopefully there will be pictures of the total bonding in the near future.

Seven things my rabbits would like to tell me

1. Me grabbing the end of the (full) litter scoop in your hand and then suddenly letting go of it makes me laugh.

2. The look of distressed wood is in.

3. Do you have any idea what is on cable TV at 2:30 in the morning?!   Neither do we; we chewed the rest of the buttons off your remote last night.

4.  I gave you a cordless mouse.
