The best birthday...

Rustina and Rusty here!! We were beginning to think it would never happen but then, almost two years after being rescued, our forever home is here. I told you we're an irresistible pair didn't I?? Well, I think of it as Rusty's birthday of sorts on May 30th. Two years ago he was pulled from a backyard where an unfeeling human had released a pair of rabbits to be "free".

Babies from several litters were confiscated and brought in. Rusty was a skinny, quiet little guy. Still is quiet. You know my story. I was almost eaten alive by ants in a tiny dirty cage outdoors . Had to learn to stand up for myself early.

Rusty and I were head over bunnytails in love as soon as we met in the x-pen. Now we live in a palatial home with a young lady who volunteers with PetSave Foundation. We have our own room and toys galore. We're so pleased and thankful. The best "birthday" present a pair of deserving buns ever had. Love and bunny kisses from Rustina and Rusty too.

Help find Audrey Hepburn!!!

One of our first adopters had her bun escape. Please keep her in mind at rescues, shelters, pet stores, vet offices, etc in the San Diego/El Cajon area if/when you see a homeless Large White Girl Bun with blue eyes. Her name is Audrey Hepburn. I've uploaded a pic of her to the socalrabbits yahoo group, attached one here and put one up on our blog:

In Memoriam

Our little Wildflower crossed the rainbow bridge today. The infection along with stasis was too much for her to overcome. She got lotsa love while she was with us.

Lisa is having her cremated. We'll all scatter her ashes at The Rabbit Patch with Luciana's after Inge gets back.

Mr. Universe finds a home...

Arcturus checking in to say farewell to my Rabbit Match friends worldwide. So a wonderful lady came into our facility. She had seen me on Daily Bunny and had always dreamed of a bun who had a telepathic grasp of the Vulcan language. That's me!!! So off we've gone to a life as Trekkies. Look for me during your intergalactic travels!! Live long and prosper!! Arcturus.
